Orchidia Pharmaceutical Industries has obtained approval from the Sudan Ministry of Health to register five of its ophthalmic (eye drop) products. The company has also received pricing certificates for these five products in accordance with Sudan’s regulatory requirements.
The five approved eye drops are:
Conjyclear (Olopatadine Hydrochloride 1.11 mg) – Anti-allergic eye drop
Orchazid (Ketotifen Fumarate 0.345 mg) – Anti-allergic eye drop
Ozolmide (Dorzolamide Hydrochloride 20 mg) – Anti-glaucoma eye drop
Twinzol (Dorzolamide Hydrochloride 22.26 mg) – Anti-glaucoma eye drop
Gatistar (Gatifloxacin 5 mg) – Antibiotic eye drop
It is also worth noting that the company has already registered three products in Sudan classified as medical devices, which are:
Perfect Care – Contact lens solution
Tears Guard – Artificial tears and eye lubricant
Poly-fresh – Artificial tears and eye lubricant
Orchidia Pharmaceutical Industries plans to introduce all eight products to the Sudanese market at the beginning of 2018.
